Alcatel Submarine Networks

SubCom

Sea Talk Systems was established in 1997 by the Chairman, Leon Crouch, who has a wealth of experience in the manufacture of repeaters and cable joints for the Undersea Telecommunications Industry, having worked with Alcatel, AT&T, STC, Cable & Wireless Marine, BT Marine, Pirelli, KDDI and now the UJ Consortium; Alcatel Submarine Networks, KCS and SubCom.

STS operate using a 100% inspection business model, which they inherited when the business was transferred from Cable & Wireless Marine to STS. Maintaining this business model continues to ensure quality and defect free kits and piece parts in this quality critical industry.

A single failure in this industry can result in the loss of hundreds of thousands in lost revenue per day if your system is down. Not to mention the cost of re-routing traffic, the emergency hire of cable ships, jointing personnel, damage to your reputation and customers’ confidence.

Typically the main reasons for system failures can be fishing boats, ship anchors, earthquakes, tsunamis and tidal waters. STS are proud to guarantee that when repairs, or new kits are necessary, they will be supplied on time with zero defects and fit for purpose.

STS operate from a state of the art, purpose built facility, using the latest equipment and process controls. Please watch their video for a summarised view of Sea Talk’s operations.
