All their inspection equipment is located in dedicated temperature controlled environments to aid in achieving these high standards.
STS holds ISO 9001:2015 QUALITY CERTIFICATION and also require their manufacturing subcontractors to maintain this accreditation as a minimum. Rigorous internal and external audits are carried out and continuously monitored and improved.
The established processes and practices at STS that have been developed within a business environment, demand a formal quality assurance regime and full traceability of activities, processes and materials.
Sea Talk’s role is to provide a sourcing and procurement facility to supply parts which range from small to high precision mechanical piece parts to equipment, at competitive costs and to the highest quality.
Every manufactured part, without exception, is subjected to a 100% inspection process, which includes dimensional checks, hardness tests, threads and finish, to drawing requirements. All mechanical equipment such as moulds and hydraulic presses are assembled and verified prior to despatch. Jointing equipment is fully assembled and checked prior to despatch.
A list of approved suppliers is maintained from information obtained from supplier questionnaires, historic data and delivery / quality performance. New suppliers are only added following successful audit assessment and prove out of manufacturing processes.
STS electronically store all inspection and manufacturing records to ensure there is full traceability of kits and piece parts for 25 years. In the event of system fault, without full traceability, it will be impossible to identify the root cause and take corrective action.
